I thought about it, but doing an all-nighter tends to shut down my immune system, and while blogathon is on a weekend, I don't really want to take a couple days of vacation just to recover. I'll probably stay up a fair bit on AIM (or, if tikva does it, might spend a while at their pad chatting), but I think I'd just make myself miserable.

I got a chance to work on the book today. Yeah, that's exceptional lately. This sucks because going more than two or three days without my original works makes me a tad screwy in the brain. But hey, I only have twenty pages to go before I'm on the fine-tuning editing pass! Being behind schedule is better than ... uhh ... being moreso behind schedule!

I introduced this one customer dude to bamboo shoots the other day. Have I mentioned lately that I love expanding people's culinary horizons? It was just funny because he was thinking of how huge bamboo grows, and imagining that the shoots would be huge woody chewy scary hunks of ... thing on his plate.

Long long time no see! At the start of the year, my friend nickel_dust was writing a cliché high school AU fic with Ace Attorney characters (and I was wrting a few extras). A child-free city. There needs to be a child-free city so I can move there and never have to deal with other people's stupid spawn ever again. I really shouldn't be as amused as I am to the internet reactions about last night's Torchwood.

But my reaction to the last season finale of Heroes was "DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:" for a few hours and then getting over it, and I was more D: because of the way it was presented (Nathan dies and then there's Angela and Matt's futile chase to find him) rather than Nathan dying. Granted, I wasn't as invested in my Heroes OTP as the Torchwood OTPers are in theirs, but seriously, if you're to the point of barely being able to go to work in the morning because of something that happened on your show, you're doing it wrong.
